Blogging on “Entrepreneurs – Journey”

Blogger, Yaro Starak

Blogger, Yaro Starak

Since I started blogging, I’ve read alot of blogs on many different topics. One thing I’ve noticed over time is some bloggers hold back bits and pieces of information rather than share everything they know. This seems more noticeable in blogs teaching the tricks of blogging and how to make money online. Naturally, this is just human nature; no one wants to give all their secrets away. However, it is nice when you run across a blogger who isn’t that way. Recently, I’ve become interested in how to create and monetize microniche websites. Yaro wrote a fantastic post on that topic called How To Make Money Online Using Niche Content Sites. So far, it is the most comprehensive, introductory article I’ve read on the topic. Written in a well-organized and easy-to-understand format, you won’t have to reread his posts to figure out what he said. If you’re looking for blog with a diverse range of quality content on internet marketing, let Yaro show you the ropes!

Blogging on “Life in Alaska – A View from Homer”

Homer, Alaska

Homer, Alaska

From the words of Michelle, “Alaska is a big place, and no blog could sum it all up, and a lifetime of exploring could not delve into all the nooks and crannies of this awesome state. This is my ’slice of life’ living near Homer, Alaska.

Homer, Alaska is a small town nestled against the Kachemak Bay on the Kenai Peninsula. A land where awe-striking mountains meet the water’s edge, it was nicknamed The End of the Road in a book by Tom Bodet. Live vicariously through Michelle’s experiences and beautiful pictures.

Blogging on “Balloon Juice”

USA Balloon

USA Balloon

I ran across this blog when I spied a post called The New Welfare Queens in John Cole’s blog, Balloon Juice. The post was a result of the controversy stirred when a man being served lunch by Michelle Obama at a homeless center took a picture of her with a cell phone. Apparently, some people think homeless people should not have cell phones even though there are various programs that provide them with the phones. One response to this was Kathryn Lopez’s from National Review Online. She reminded readers that Robert Rector has repeatedly mentioned that America has the wealthiest poor people in America. Furthermore she said, “We are a blessed people when our poor have cell phones.”

On the other hand, John brought up three things in defense of this situation. First, he could be a volunteer or someone recently unemployed. Secondly, some companies have been helping the homeless with free voice-mail service. And thirdly, how are you suppose to pull yourself up by the bootstraps without a phone or physical address. An employer has no way to contact them. I fully agree with John! How can some people be so petty? It was this post which led me to check out his blog further.

Blogging on “A Home for Wild Birds”

backyard-birds1

Living in rural, northern Minnesota, birds abound. I have several feeders on shepherd’s hooks in the backyard, and during the summer, flocks of yellow finches and hummingbirds frequent the feeders. I’ve never been a morning person, but listening to the melodious chirrups and watching the bird’s antics has always been a favorite way to start my morning.

Although there are many beautiful, bird blogs on the internet, I like bird blogs that teach something about the subject matter too. This site has a One Stop Bird Shop, an associated blog, and other useful information about backyard birding. If you want to learn more about backyard birding, this site is a good place to begin.
